Championship Table Calculator

The table at the top is the real Championship table, built from every result played so far this season and updated automatically after each game. Underneath are the remaining fixtures, one matchweek at a time. Predict them all and the table recalculates instantly, with arrows showing how far each club has moved from where it sits now.

How to Use the Championship Table Calculator

Pick a matchweek from the dropdown and type a score into each game, or tap Home win, Draw or Away win for a quick prediction. Every time you enter a result, the table updates instantly.

Choose All remaining fixtures to see the whole run-in on one page. Fancy a laugh? Hit Randomise and let chaos decide the season. Reset clears everything and takes you back to the real table.

Championship Table Predictor 26/27

The Championship is the most unpredictable league in English football. Twenty-four clubs, 46 games each, and a season that rarely goes the way anyone expects in August. That’s what makes predicting it so much fun. Back your club to go up, work out who drops into League One, or see how tight the race for the play-offs could get.

Your predictions save on your device, so you can close the page, come back after the next round of fixtures and pick up where you left off. With a 46-game season, you’ll want to.

How Promotion, Play-Offs and Relegation Work in the Calculator

The coloured strip next to each position shows what is at stake:

  • 1st and 2nd: automatic promotion to the Premier League
  • 3rd to 6th: the play-offs. Third plays sixth and fourth plays fifth over two legs, with the winners meeting in the final at Wembley for the last promotion place
  • 22nd to 24th: relegation to League One

The calculator shows where clubs finish in the league. The play-offs themselves are knockout games, so it’s up to you to decide who wins at Wembley.

Is the Championship table calculator updated after every game?

Real results are pulled in automatically shortly after each match, so the starting table and the remaining fixtures are always current.

How the Championship Table Is Worked Out

Teams get three points for a win, one for a draw and nothing for a defeat. When clubs finish level on points, they’re separated by goal difference, then goals scored. If they still can’t be split, the EFL’s regulations look at the results in the games between the clubs involved.

The calculator follows the same order, so a tight finish in your predicted table plays out as it would in real life. Any official points deductions are already built into the table, which matters in the Championship more than most leagues.
